Samsung‘s upcoming next-generation foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, are getting ready to hit the shelves in early July. According to leaked information, especially the Fold 7 model will raise the bar in terms of slimness. Previous expectations indicated that the Fold 7 would be 9.5 mm thick when folded; however, the latest claims suggest that this number may drop to 8.2 mm. If this happens, Samsung will set a new record for the thinnest foldable phone to date. For example, the Oppo Find N5 reaches a thickness of 8.9 mm when folded.
There aren’t expected to be major changes in the camera department of the Fold 7. While the main camera offers a resolution of 200 MP, the 10 MP telephoto and 12 MP ultra-wide-angle cameras will maintain their current levels. The inner screen size is expected to increase from 7.6 inches to 8 inches, while the outer screen is rumored to grow from 6.3 inches to 6.5 inches. These measurements are in line with the recently released Fold Special Edition model.
There are also some noteworthy innovations on the Galaxy Z Flip 7 front. The cover screen is being enlarged from 3.4 inches to 4 inches and taking on an almost rectangular form. Additionally, the battery capacity is being increased; the 4,000 mAh battery in the current model will be raised to 4,300 mAh in the new model. However, no changes are expected in charging speeds. It seems that the camera setup of the Flip 7 will remain the same; the 50 MP main camera and 12 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor will also be used in this model.
